This
is a painting which was done in a looser style than most of my pieces
and is of a stone statue here at the studio. Next to the statue is
bleeding heart that was a gift from my late aunt Bee.
Each year as I enjoy the new bleeding
heart blooms and reminisce about the pleasant memories of my Aunt,
I became more and more convinced that I should do a oil painting
of the setting.
At the same time I was watching a
friend go through a divorice, I had sad memories of my own.
On the lap
of the statue you will see an abandoned wedding ring, thus the reason
for the title Two Bleeding Hearts.
