Painting of paddlefish and the Madison Lake regions Times newpaper, headline the Paddlefish celebration held each year the fourth weekend in July. Model used in this painting is a sculpture by Schaefer Studios, MN. The paddlefish remains were discovered on the shore of Madison Lake by Ron Abraham in the spring of 1989. The fish measured 65 1/4" with an estimated weight of 100lbs and was 35 years of age.
